Valentino (Tino) Angelini started his rowing Journey right here in Tulsa with TYRA, formally Tulsa Rowing Club Juniors. His journey through rowing in Tulsa lasted for four years, and during that time he fell in love with the sport. He then went on to graduate from high school and continue his education at the University of Oklahoma, where he had decided that he wouldn’t row… At least for the first couple of weeks. He joined the university’s club team where he would end up competing at some of the world’s most prestigious regattas, against some of the world’s most prestigious rowers and programs. Once his time at the University of Oklahoma had come to an end, so too did his journey in rowing, or so he thought.

Upon moving back to Tulsa in 2020, he found himself circling back to where it all began, however this time he had accepted the head coaching role for TYRA. He continues to coach and lead the team alongside Luke Schula and James Steiner, and together, they have transformed the team and have seen massive amounts of improvement.
