Sign Up to Compete in TYRA Fundraiser or Sponsor a Competitor to Help Them Reach Their Donation Goal!
TULSA, OK – The Tulsa Youth Rowing Association will be holding a fundraiser open to all who are willing to help support their efforts to rebuild. An arson fire on January 24 destroyed thirty-two of TYRA’s Concept2 rowing machines – a retail value of $900 each; racing equipment necessary for their middle school and high school team to compete – primarily thirty oars – an average cost of $390 each; an AED for safety precautions; and another $2500 or so in miscellaneous property. The Fundraiser will consist of TEAMS OF FOUR who will have a ONE HOUR time slot to row as far as they can on a Concept2 indoor rowing machine. Competitors are encouraged to raise $250 in donations per person. The fundraiser will be held on February 27, 2016, from 11:00am-4:00pm at Okie CrossFit (located at 6511 E. 44th St. Tulsa, OK).
The team plans to continue to train and compete throughout the spring in hopes of representing Tulsa once again at the USRowing Junior National Championships in June.
